Option 1: Discuss various models or conceptualizations (e.g., Gottman, Emotionally-Focused, Imago Therapy, Solution-Focused, Narrative, Bowenian—or other intrapsychic models) found in the literature that address relational/marital intimacy. Compare and contrast them with consideration of a biblical worldview and clinical utility. Choose 1 model and discuss how you would apply it to helping a premarital or remarital couple with intimacy issues.

· Option 2: Discuss how you would work with a premarital couple when each partner’s previous marriage was dysfunctional, involved sexual infidelity, and was highly conflictual. Discuss 2 theoretical marital models of therapy and how you would help the couple limit the impact of those previous marriages upon their current marriage.

· Option 3: Countertransference is a significant variable in providing any type of counseling. What are likely or possible countertransference issues that might occur in premarital/remarital counseling? Discuss how each possible issue might impact the provision of counseling services to particular clients/couples. Explain what ethical and legal issues might be involved with issues of countertransference.
